MARY ANN BOHRER
Managing Director, Social Me PR

Mary Ann is a public relations professional who has managed top accounts for some of the best PR firms in the world, including Ketchum PR/New York, Hill & Knowlton/NY and Rubenstein Associates.  She was also Director of Global PR for Pharmacia & Upjohn, where she was responsible for managing PR campaigns for P&U in the US, Europe, Asia and South America. Some of Mary Ann's clients have included the Beef Industry, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, the American Dairy Association, the National Football League, Chevrolet USA, Hershey's, Home Box Office, the National Duckling Council, Ajinomoto (global food and pharmaceutical company), American Express, Accuray (maker of the CyberKnife), the Doctor's Channel.com, the Pittsburgh Penguins, HyperActive Technologies, The Miss America Organization, Children's Miracle Network, Edgar Snyder and Associates, Weight Watchers International, H.J. Heinz and many more.

Mary Ann founded Social Me PR after conducting social media campaigns for Pfizer, Chevrolet USA and several other clients who needed intelligent social solutions to their marketing and public relations issues.  She found that some clients were either overwhelmed by social media or overly anxious to be everywhere at once.  She promotes a different approach to social media -- one that combines PR wisdom with the latest social tools to promote your brand without showing your hand.
